Jumped off the plane in SMF

We made it to California!! We had two fairly short flights and a perfectly timed lay-over (just enough time for a donut and smoothie stop) and we were in California by 11 AM west cost time! Joel, Jamie, and Devan were at the airport to greet us and drive us to our new home base for the week: Fulsom CA. After a quick snack at home we headed to Jamie and Devan's baseball game.  Devan is never too shy to pose for my pictures!

We got to see both of the boys score a run, Jamie pitched and had an awesome line-drive snag, and Devan got to play 1st base!

That night for dinner we hit up their favorite spot for dinner, Rubios. Derrick and I are always up for tex-mex, especially when there is a free enchilada special!

Devan and Jamie have a pretty sweet set up for two sports-crazy boys. The front room of their house is set up as a basketball/soccer/hockey rink. Derrick had no problem joining right in with the antics.

The next morning we headed to another sporting event. Jamie plays for a traveling soccer team and he had his first tournament in Manteca. Derrick and I were tired from and early morning and long day so we slept in for a bit and drove with Cat and Devan a little later. We were able to catch the second half of his first game and the full second game. When we showed up Jamie was in goal and made an awesome diving save!

Right after Jamie's second game Derrick and I headed off to Lake Tahoe for our 2nd anniversary. More posts to come about that!
